Welcome to Library Scout, operated by SP Digital LLC, a Wisconsin limited liability company ("SP Digital", "we", "us", or "our"). By accessing or using libraryscout.info (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Description of Service

Library Scout is a free email alert service that automatically scans Wisconsin public library websites for job and internship postings and delivers a weekly digest to subscribers. The Service is provided free of charge and is operated as an open-source project.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age to use this Service. By subscribing, you represent that you meet this requirement.

3. Subscriptions and Email

You subscribe by providing a valid email address and completing a double opt-in confirmation.
You may unsubscribe at any time by clicking the "Unsubscribe" link in any digest email.
We will send you a weekly digest email and occasional transactional emails (e.g., your confirmation email). We will not send unsolicited promotional emails unrelated to the Service.
You are responsible for ensuring the email address you provide is accurate and belongs to you.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms.
Submit another person's email address without their consent.
Attempt to interfere with, disrupt, or gain unauthorized access to the Service or its infrastructure.

5. Intellectual Property

The source code for Library Scout is released under an open-source license and is available at GitHub. Job and internship listings displayed in digests are sourced from publicly accessible library websites and remain the property of their respective owners.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that job listings are accurate, current, or complete, or that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, SP Digital LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or the Service shall not exceed $0 (the Service is free).

8. Third-Party Services

The Service uses third-party providers including Brevo (email delivery), Render (hosting), and Cloudflare (CDN/tunnel). Your interactions with those services are governed by their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or availability of third-party services.

9. Changes to the Service and Terms

We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the Service at any time without notice. We may revise these Terms periodically. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. Material changes will be reflected in a revised effective date on this page.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wisconsin, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions. Any disputes shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Wisconsin.
